BRANDING / WEBSITE / ACTIVATION
Turn and face the strange, ch-ch-changes.
A brand identity stuck in the past—and not in the cool, nostalgic way.
Their website was outdated and content updates required a third-party developer, slowing them down. On top of that, they were preparing for a move and needed a full redesign of their in-store experience. It was time to bring the brand into the modern vinyl revival era while honoring its mid-century roots.

The Identity
Who are You?
"Inspired by the past, structured for today."
As a lifelong vinyl collector, the goal for this project was to channel the nostalgia and excitement of record collecting. We stripped the logo back to its most iconic form—a mark inspired by the physical act of a "reveal," pulling a record from its sleeve.
The final design channels vintage record label aesthetics with a modern edge. It is a system built for motion, working effortlessly across digital interfaces, heavy-stock packaging, and large-scale environmental signage.
The Merch
Turn the Swag On
"In the spirit of Rock & Roll."
We increased the visual volume on the merchandise line. By ditching "safe" layouts for gritty textures and bold, intentional color palettes, the collection moved from simple souvenirs to essential brand gear. This wasn’t about decoration; it was about building a merch line that functions as a backstage pass—rebellious, tactile, and unmistakably cool.
The Environment
Welcome to the Jungle
For the new flagship store, we deployed a complete environmental design strategy. We treated the physical layout as a journey through the past: murals, signage, and artwork were positioned to guide the flow of the room. The result is a music lover’s haven where the layout encourages discovery rather than just a transaction. Visitors will find vintage everything throughout the store, from old tour and concert posters to reel-to-reel machines and rare musical trinkets that reward those who take the time to explore every corner.

The Website
Because... the Internet
"No more waiting on developers. Just a clean, modern interface that is fast, intuitive, and easy to update."
The final piece of the alignment was a fresh digital infrastructure. We designed a clean, modernist website that the Hunky Dory team can manage entirely in-house. By removing the developer bottleneck, we gave them the power to update content with the same speed at which new records hit the shelves. It puts the focus back where it belongs: the music and the experience.
